Pick-up and delivery

You specify pick-up and delivery per Experience. This means that all products in that Experience share the same pick-up and delivery process. Glaze has three different Pick-up and Delivery modes. You can select which mode applies to your Experience in the Delivery page in Experience Configuration in Glaze Manager.

Pick-up and Delivery modes

No Delivery

In some cases it does not make sense to specify delivery. This usually means that the type of products do not require hand-over  (digital assets) or the context of the purchase indicates hand-over. Example of the latter is a sales booth with a visible QR code at the front and an employee to serve behind the counter. In this case it is quite obvious that the hand-over is over the counter.

Bring to Customer

Usually this option is connected to Link targets (see QR Codes and Social Links). A link target (table no, hotel room no) indicates where the items of an order should be delivered.

Pick-up

When you select this option as delivery mode you must specify the pick-up location. The list displayed for selecting pick-up locations comes from the pick-up stations list set at Organization level in Settings. This means that you can share the pick-up locations across your apps but each app can only have one location.

If customers are required to pick-up purchased items, they must be informed about the pick-up location. This is why all orders from Experiences with delivery mode set as pick-up include the location at the top of the receipt.

Other delivery settings

Customer Identity - Request customer name

If you want to require your guests to enter their name during checkout, check this settings. This will allow for a more personalized delivery and even avoid confusion.

Max number of orders

During peak hours or when orders are piling up you have the option of warning your customers about expected waiting time. The value selected indicates the maximum number of orders waiting before such warning is shown during checkout.
