Intro to Glaze
Getting started
Once you have successfully signed up and logged in, you will be redirected to the Glaze Manager.
Follow the introduction steps to get acquainted with the world of Glaze:
Step 1 - Give Glaze Your Touch
Remember when you signed up and entered a name for your Organization? This entity will be host of every product and Experience you create within Glaze. For simplicity you can think of it as a company.
You, as the creator of the organization, automatically become the owner of the Organization. You can invite others (see Members and users) and you can have access to more than one organization.
In the first step you are guided to the Settings for your Organization. Here you have the ability to customise aspects of your organization such as:
Change logo, timezone and tax region
Invite a new member to your Organization
Set up a payment provider
Define opening hours of your Experiences
Control the checkout flow of your Experiences
Define languages
Manage pickup stations
Activate API's
Don't worry, these concepts are explained in more detail in the Managing your Experiences section.
Step 2 - Add Your Products
Glaze is all about Products. You can either integrate your products with an external system (this means that the products are maintained in another retail system) or you can create products directly in Glaze.
Products can be added one-by-one, as a product bundle or from a template.
Try to add your first product.
Step 3 - Build Your Experiences
Now it's time to set those products free and prepare an Experience for your customers. Let's create an experience! - well, sort of.
You create a Glaze Experience to present and sell your products.
A Glaze Experience is built from a set of Content Blocks. You can add a new block to your experience by pressing the Add Content Block. Each content block is either of type Products or Media Content
Add a block of type Products List.
From the list of your products select one or more by selecting the checkbox next to the product
Click the Next button
Add a Title for you product list
Click the Add Product List button
You can play around with the experience by creating some more products, add them to your experience and try out different types of content blocks.
Step 4 - It All Starts With a QR Code
A QR code is a link to your experiences. When a customer scans the QR code with a smartphone and clicks the associated link, your experience appears on the phone.
You don't have to do anything to enabling this functionality - it's taken care of for you. Just try to scan the QR code of your automatically generated Welcome link. You should now see the experience on your phone.
It is important to understand the connection between a QR code and an Experience. This association is what is called a Link in Glaze (a link between a QR code and an experience). You can have as many links as you want. Each of them can link to a different experience. More on QR codes and Links.
Step 5 - Monitor Your Orders
When you have purchases from your guests, you can monitor incoming orders in the Orders view in Manager.
Step 6 - Fulfill your orders
It's time for a delivery!
Glaze uses Delivery Stations to manage delivery. A delivery station is the pick-up point where customers gets purchased items.
Click on Configure Stations to manage pick-up locations. Simply add a Title and Description (optional) for your new station.
You can now go to your experience configuration -> Delivery -> Delivery Option and click Pick-up Station option. There you can select the pick-up station you just created.
Congrats! You have now completed the Glaze Tour and are ready to amaze and glaze your customers.
