Customizing your checkout

The checkout flow of your Glaze Experience is configured in Glaze Manager. To change checkout flow navigate to Settings->Checkout in Glaze Manager.

Checkout

SMS Authentication Mode

You can require your guests to authenticate using SMS one-time-password. The SMS authentication is required your quests must enter their phone-number to receive a one-time number to use during checkout. This will allow your guests to revisit their orders and is essential for tracking orders and payments.

In most cases we recommend that your set this as Required.

Checkout Confirmation

Normally this value should be set to Order Completed. In cases when your Glaze Experience is based on free contributions rather than sales and purchases of items, it can make sense to change this to Thank you for your contribution.

Request Customer Name

During the checkout process, you have the option to ask your guests to enter their name. This can make it easier to hand over purchased items by calling out the guest's name, and it adds a personal touch. You can choose to make entering the name mandatory or optional.

Request Customer Email

Requesting the customer's email address can have several benefits for marketing purposes. However, it is important to be mindful of opt-outs and spamming regulations. Asking for an email address makes more sense when you and your guests have an ongoing business relationship.

If you choose to collect your guests' email addresses, you can make it either optional or mandatory.

Checkout Options

What if you need some more info from your guest during checkout? The checkout configuration allows you to define custom made option using the generic checkout option settings. You define groups of options that will become a part of the checkout flow. For example you can add option for customer in a Glaze Experience for a restaurant to say whether they will be dining inside or have a take-away. Each option can be associated with an amount (if option cost extra) and tax rate. Options can also be for single (customer chooses exactly 1 option) or multiple selection (customer can choose more than 1 option in a group).

Just try it out. It is more simple than it sounds.
